In this December full of wisdom and exchanges, eBRAM, together with the Hong Kong Mediation Council (HKMCL) and the International Chamber of Commerce - Hong Kong (ICC-HK), has written two wonderful chapters in the field of mediation.  From deeply participating in the HKMCL Confernece 2024 to sponsoring the 3rd ICC-HK International Commercial Mediation Competition, we have always been committed to promoting the development of mediation practices and inspiring the next generation of dispute resolution talents.



eBRAM is honored to be one of the supporting organizations for the HKMCL’s Conference 2024 held on 7 December 2024. A special thank you to Dr Joseph LEUNG , Chairman of eBRAM's Online Mediation Task Force, for representing eBRAM during the panel discussion on the topic: "Challenges and Opportunities of Mediation in Asia". On behalf of eBRAM.  Dr. LEUNG, with his profound professional background and unique insights, brought profound inspiration to the participants, promoted dialogue and cooperation in the field of mediation, and further promoted innovation and development in mediation practice. eBRAM firmly believes that the mediation business of Hong Kong's professional dispute settlement institutions will be revitalized through the discussion of such friendly exchange activities.

From December 8 to 12, the third ICC-HK International Commercial Mediation Competition, sponsored and supported by eBRAM, was opened in the spotlight. This competition was co sponsored by the International Chamber of Commerce - Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Department of Justice.  Mr. Albert LEUNG, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of eBRAM, and Ms. Wenny HUANG, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General, were invited by the organizer to serve as judges of the competition.

18 university teams from 6 different jurisdictions are participating in this round of the competition. The winning team will be funded to compete in the ICC Mediation Competition in Paris in February 2025. It is an invaluable opportunity for students from around the globe to gather and enhance their mediation skills under the guidance of esteemed professionals in the field. Dr. Joseph LEUNG, the Chairman of eBRAM's Online Mediation Task Force, was invited to give a guest speech in the Opening Ceremony and Cocktail Reception on 8 December 2024. This highly anticipated competition brings together talented students and legal professionals to showcase their mediation skills, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professionalism in the field of dispute resolution.  

From the in-depth exchange of the HKMCL’s Conference 2024 to the fierce competition of the ICC-HK mediation competition, eBRAM has always stood at the forefront of the mediation cause and contributed our strength with practical actions.  We firmly believe that through continuous efforts and investment, we can inspire more young talents to join the mediation industry and jointly promote mediation as the preferred way to resolve disputes.  Let's work together to build the dream of mediation, inspire the next generation of legal talents, and create a better future for the mediation industry!
